NorthWind Fine Arts is proud to present member Damon Hartman
as our featured artist in August.
Damon's new collection of work skillfully combines color, burls, pattern, texture, and various types of wood, culminating in museum quality pieces.
We'll be hosting an opening reception at the gallery
from 5-7pm on August 1st.
NorthWind Fine Arts is proud to welcome new member, pastelist Diane Leifheit. Diane has long been an active member of the North Country’s art community. She works primarily en plein air. Her work has been recently recognized by the Pastel Society of Eastern Canada, Cape Cod Society of Pastel Painters, Parrsboro International Plein Air, and the Frederick Remington Museum. The summer of 2023, she was artist-in-residence at Art Lab, Parrsboro, Nova Scotia.
Born in Rockville Center, NY, graduated with honors from Pratt, Diane has resided in Paul Smiths, New York since 1980.
Capturing landscape in pastel is a form of recording history. Leifheit feels the work being created in the time of global warming is playing witness to the changes occurring in our lifetime. Her intention since early 2000s has been to see the beauty that is now. Her work stands witness to the transitions in the environment.
NorthWind Fine Arts is in search of a potter and a jeweler to round out their membership.
Due to recent member retirements, NorthWind Fine Arts LLC is looking for two new members for our cooperative gallery. We are in a beautiful prime retail location on Main Street in historic Saranac Lake, NY.
Members are required to sit in the gallery for a certain numbers of days each month, handle sales for all gallery members when sitting, and are responsible for bringing in and setting up their work for display.
Our current team members include traditional landscape and still life painters, a reclaimed wood artist, a fused-glass artist and a wood turner.
The gallery has a jewelry case and fixtures for 3-D work.
Send inquiries to: northwindfinearts@gmail northwindfinearts@gmail.com
or stop by the gallery to speak to a member.
NorthWind Fine Arts is very pleased to showcase the work of guest artist Patrick Mcphee at the gallery during the months of July and August, 2025.
